I made a daily puzzle game: Burrow
Burrow is a small daily puzzle you play in the browser. Point a bunny, drop a few arrows and eat as many carrots as you can.
While Anvil CSG waits for its review, I made something small on the side: Burrow, a daily puzzle game you play in the browser.
How it works
You get a bunny, a garden and a few arrows. Point the bunny in a direction, put arrows on its path to turn it, and press Hop!. It eats everything it hops over:
- carrot +1, lettuce +3, golden carrot +5
- a fox bites for -3, but sometimes the bite is worth it
- rabbit holes are linked: in one, out the other
The goal is the highest score you can find. Every garden has exactly one best route.
A new garden every day
Everyone gets the same garden each day, and you get one submit. After that you see how everyone else did, and you can keep playing just for fun.
If one a day isn't enough, there are bigger Weekly and Monthly gardens. Those you can play as often as you like until they end, and only your best score counts. The best route shows up when the week or month is over.
Under the hood
It's plain JavaScript and a canvas, no framework. Every garden is generated and then solved completely before anyone sees it, and only gardens with exactly one best route are kept. The weekly and monthly ones are too big to solve in a browser, so they're solved ahead of time. Scores, ratings and reminders run on a Cloudflare Worker.
Tell me what you think
It's free, has no ads and needs no account. If something is confusing or broken, use Send feedback in the game's menu, or tell me on Discord.
